Since the late 60's, I have been witness
to performances that explore the limits and stretch the boundaries of music.
In 1997, I made it my
mission to document these cats that carry on the great improvisational
tradition with superb musicianship while kicking some serious *ss!...
Back then, Broadband capabilities for video was financially unattainable, but in '03 I jumped on it and I started Abop tv to support the underground improvised music scene on the World Wide Web. Then came youtube and broadband became unlimited... Abop tv is broadcasting some of the hottest, MOST happening music on the Improvised Music, Avant-garde, Funk,
Free-Style, Hard-bop scene today! Our goal is to document and present globally,
these artists that are carrying on the tradition of the improvisational
innovators... Armstrong, Coltrane, Cecil, Dolphy, Miles, Cream, Hendrix...
